PROTECT OUR CANYONS is leading the fight to stop the Brookview Ranch project, protect the ecosystem of the Santa Monica Mountains, and safeguard our canyons. Your donation today is essential to us keeping up our considerable momentum and winning this fight.
Our community is standing up against this inappropriate proposed event venue facility, with its application calling for over 54 thousand square feet of commercial event venue space. This venue would create a serious threat and safety hazard to our community and surrounding communities. There would be massive upheaval to our quality of life, endless traffic, irrevocable environmental destruction, loss of wildlife, and an unprecedented change to the Santa Monica Mountains.
Right now, expensive lobbyists are campaigning to get this commercial development built. Despite overwhelming community opposition, the Department of Regional Planning still has not taken a position against this egregious project.
In order to stop the project, Protect Our Canyons needs your support right now to hire an experienced lobbyist, land use attorney, and various experts in traffic, safety and the environment. We are bracing for a long and challenging fight, and we will need not only your commitment but your financial support to be successful in Protecting Our Canyons.
This battle will be costly to our community. In order to win, we must dig deep and give generously so that we can protect this place we all love. Together, we will prove the awesome power of a united community.
